True Mettle

You're looking at my "studio" for a brief period of time in July.  I discovered an advanced case of mold in my apartment from a leak that had destroyed many of my belongings.  I was forced to pack up and move into a hotel temporarily, bringing my work with me in whatever way I can.

One of the projects I am working on is for a game called Forsaken Dungeons.  There's a piece I wrote for the puzzle-focussed areas of the game that I dubbed "True Mettle."


Your role is that of a band of brothers, fighting to restore positive balance to their homeland. As if it weren't enough that they must face hordes of beasties, they must solve intricate challenges of whit, as well.  I decided a fitting name for the piece would be "True Mettle" because as a person heavily involved in war strategy and martial arts as a passion, I see the value of a sharp mind as superior.

I have more in common with my video game subjects than I would have imagined.  Only, my beasties are swarms of general difficulties with health, the apartment, and a few other things.  And like our duty-bound heroes, I dig deep to steel my resolve and overcome these challenges.  This soundtrack has been one of my favorite projects to date, and I can't wait to share the results with you all.  Look forward to the game's release!  It's definitely one for the wish list!
